Edie has spent the best part of 40 years tending to her domineering husband George, who was rendered immobile by a stroke. When he eventually passes away, Edie hopes she can seize the moment and put herself first for a change. Unfortunately, her daughter Nancy decides that the safest place for Edie would be a care home so the plucky mother hen packs her old camping bag and heads for the beautiful village of Lochinver to realise a lifelong goal: to climb Mount Suilven in Scotland.
