Deepak graduates from medical school in India with flying colours then packs up his belongings and heads to Toronto with his mother to stay with Uncle Vijay. The graduate believes that Canada is a land of opportunity. Unfortunately, Deepak discovers that opportunities in the medical profession are scarce, so he is forced to earn a meagre wage as a taxi driver. Unperturbed, Deepak begins to dole out excellent medical advice and prescriptions to his fares and he literally sets up a practise in the back of his cab.
