Losing a loved one conjures a maelstrom of emotions, especially in the immediate aftermath when friends and relatives have to contend with various rituals of care – perhaps for the first time – in the midst of grief. In this documentary, we meet a small team of women in Brighton, who have spent 20 years supporting and empowering people during this stressful period. Women including Cara believe in helping everyone, regardless of their finances, to confront how death is approached in Britain.
