Dan wakes shivering on a beach with no memory. He stumbles through the deserted city, which has been ravaged by a deadly virus, and befriends a small group of survivors of the apocalypse including Sam, Kate, Lisa, Will and James. It transpires that the army are hunting Dan and he joins forces with his new friends to evade capture and fend off attacks from the infected.
