Thirteen-year-old aristocrat Shiori Genpo hails from noble heritage but her childhood is shattered when her parents are killed. She is instantly promoted to head of the clan. In order to put her affairs in order, Shiori enters into a contract with a demon called Sebastian Michaelis, who poses as the teenager’s butler and promises to help Shiori complete a series of important tasks.
