Police officer Andreas and his wife Anna are struggling to contend with a baby son who cries persistently through the night. One day at work, Andreas and his partner Simon visit the flat of ex-con Tristan and his girlfriend Sanne and discover the drug-addicted couple’s child in a closet, mistreated and covered in its own mess. Soon after, Andreas’ son dies suddenly in the middle of the night and the devastated police officer decides to swap his dead son for Tristan and Sanne’s baby.
