In Ukraine, Pastor Gennadiy Mokhnenko has become a modern day folk hero. The man of God has taken it upon himself to rescue the people of the city of Mariupol from sin, which includes shepherding drug-addicted children en masse into a van so he can transport them to a state-funded rehabilitation centre. This bleak and revealing documentary attempts to understand the man behind the religious rhetoric, meeting Mokhnenko and his wife, who have adopted some of the children they have rescued.
