Georg Elser is a carpenter living in Konigsbronn, who has always opposed the rise of the National Socialist party under Hitler. He secures work at a weapons factory in Heidenheim, where Georg has access to detonators and fuses, which he hopes to use to carry out a daring plan: to blow up the Fuhrer. Keeping secret his intentions from his sweetheart Elsa, Georg places the device in the Burgerbraukeller in Munich, where Hitler is due to speak.
