The Tom Meighan-fronted band think it would be “great” to take a rocket out of Earth and then transmit their live performance through a satellite link.

Guitarist Serge Pizzorno told the Daily Star: “What would be great would be to do some live shows from space. Beam them back from the International Space Station with a satellite link-up and go straight into homes or cinemas.”

But Supermassive Black Hole hitmakers Muse are keen to travel on Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic commercial space flight when the scheme takes off, and would use the experiences to add a new dimension to their career.

Frontman Matt Bellamy said: “We’re trying to blag a free trip on it [Virgin Galactic]. I’m going to try to convince Richard Branson to let us make a music video or record a song up there. I think that would be cool. Would I be scared? I think I’ll be alright.”
