3. IN THE SPOTLIGHT:

Theatreland is feeling frisky in more ways than one. Sexual Perversity in
Chicago
has the right name for London’s West End, whilst a very grown up
fairy tale called Bluebeard’s Wives is currently on its way to the ICA.

The classic that’s taking the Comedy theatre by storm has a suitably sexy
cast. TV actor Matthew Perry and British film actress Minnie Driver take the
lead in this award winning one act play. The American playwright's sassy
four-hander concerns two boys and two girls, two of whom embark on an affair
while the other pair watch cynically from the sidelines.

Mean time a darker play is receiving its premiere over at the Institute of
Contemporary Art. ‘Bluebeard’s Wives’ reworks the mythical tale of the man
rumoured to murder his unfaithful wives. Written by yours truly, this
provocative fusion of dance, film and theatre tells the tale of one girls’
dangerous journey to womanhood.
