Somerset House Concerts: The Summer Series of gigs in the Courtyard of Somerset House returns for a sixth year in 2006 - this time with an extended programme running from 6-16 July and featuring such diverse acts as The Divine Comedy, Jose Gonzalez, Robert Plant, Damian "Jr Gong" Marley, Corrine Bailey Rae, Elbow, Fat Freddy's Drop and Erykah Badu.

The premiere of Leningrad Symphony took place April 14, 1961 at the Mariinsky (Kirov) Theatre, a good 16 years after the victory that it commemorates. Set to the first movement of Shostakovich's Seventh Symphony, it quickly became established as a classic of Soviet ballet.

Get Loaded in the Park: Last year’s sell-out show saw 20,000 smiley faces bouncing around in the sunshine, as the capacity doubled in size and this August Bank Holiday weekend, Get Loaded in the Park will be bringing more mischief and mayhem south of the river as we unravel our most outrageous adventure yet…
