Tut, Tut, King Tut
Probably I waste too much of my time
feeling sorry for celebrities, but come on, you had to feel for
Britney Spears at the MTV Awards and what about Alex Ferguson? The
Manchester United boss was punched in the groin by a fellow Scot at
Euston station. No more can we say, "Fergie, what's with the red
face?"
Going by the infallible dictum that these things come
in threes, my prediction is that the next famous name to be attacked
is poor old boy king Tutankhamun.
He might have thought he
was cursed enough already, what with having to marry his sister,
being murdered as a teenager and suffering his private effects to be
spread out for the world to see, as in the upcoming exhibition at the 02 Arena, but just you wait King
Tut, the people of London won't be happy when they learn that you've
left your famous golden death mask back in Egypt for this trip. Oh
no, they'll take it as badly as seeing Fergie with his scowl turned
off or Britney Spears with her knickers on.
To be fair there
are lots of fascinating things to see at your exhibition and crowds
in other cities on the tour have flocked to see the 3,000 year old
artefacts, but, tut, tut, don't put out advertising bumph with the
death mask, or we'll re-animate your wife-sister.
