London Pride

Poetry is always a good bet at times like this. Here's one that felt right:

London Pride by Noel Coward

London Pride has been handed down to us.
London Pride is a flower that's free.
London Pride means our own dear town to us,
And our pride it for ever will be.
Grey city
Stubbornly implanted,
Taken so for granted
For a thousand years.
Stay, city,
Smokily enchanted,
Cradle of our memories and hopes and fears.
Every Blitz
Your resistance
From the Ritz
To the Anchor and Crown,
Nothing ever could override
The pride of London Town.

David Clee

Letter's Special Edition:
Here are your thoughts on the past week, from getting the 2012 Olympics, to the terrible terror attack in London's centre. We thank you for your words, as our great city moves on...

Dear LondonNet,
I think this is terrible, what's going on in London. Those poor innocent (sic) people who have lost there lives just doing their (sic) day 2 day things and you get this. Just as London gets good news, the [2012] games, and you get this terrible news, the next day. My heart goes out to them, sad news. - Shaun

Dear LondonNet,
Has any one considered who would benifit from the london terror attacks? who would have the most to gain? ....AMERIKA. - anon anon

Dear LondonNet,
I think it is disgusting and should not be tolerated that something like this happens in our country. Hundreds of innocent people dead or injued, with everything else going on in Scotland, there was a gap in security. Since the awful 9/11 in America, security should always be given top proirty to keep people safe, they awful people have no consideration at all for human life, and it is about time these people were caught whoever they are,and people should live in peace, and be able to enjoy beautiful cities like London, and not be in fear of their lives. - P.L. Bowen

Dear LondonNet,
"The world knows that Al-Qaida is a product of the CIA and that the Bushes and the Ben Ladens have been long-term business partners!!!!"
- Bob Melick

Dear LondonNet,
It was sad to hear that bomb exploded in London killing so many people and causing a lot of damage.

The British should take time and programed investigation to uncover the real people but they should not quick conclude that it can only come from Arab as Arab don't feel and think that British can harm their interest, although British always following US Policy to fight in Iraq. Strategically change of British Policy to attack French when French assisted corrupt Elite to ruin to Africa and other Third Nation and siphoned their wealth to France and encourages wars in Africa.

Some Experts posited that french network is likely to be used to Arab terrorists to bomb in Arab but the London case is very different as Us supported London to win to host the Olympic of 2012,which French was billed to use french Nations' numerical strength to win, can cause the up-set, which can result in using french network for bombing as British are known for being very careful and as to have this type of access, which Arab person can not have such access. - Mr. O'Patrick

Dear LondonNet,
I and my whole family form Sofia, Bulgaria are very, very sorry for this terrible bombs in the Tube of London. Virtually yours, - D.K.
