Sir Paul McCartney is planning to play a major retrospective during these UK gigs. Fans will be treated to 22 Beatles' tracks and highlights from his Wings and solo career.

"I had a lot of fun touring this show around America last year, but now I'm bringing it home and that's special to me as I always look forward to playing to a home crowd" says Sir Paul.

"When you go out on tour my first thought is always 'What would the audience like to see and hear?'"

"I know that if I go to see the Stones in concert, I really hope they are going to do Satisfaction and I do hope they'll do Honky Tonk Women and Jumping Jack Flash, and I'd be disappointed if they left them out."

"So that means we'll be playing some of my Beatles stuff - rather a lot of Beatles stuff, actually - some Wings stuff and some more recent stuff; so basically the show pretty much spans my whole career."

The Vines
London's Brixton Academy
Thu, 1st May 2003, 7.30 PM
2002 was a great year for bands beginning with 'The..', but THE band of 2002 beginning with 'The...' was undoubtedly The Vines. The Vines' breakneck rise to the top in just 12 short months has seen them grow from young Australian sprouts with a penchant for blending rock stylings to world conquering distortion pedallers extraordinaire. Debut album 'HIghly Evolved' was one of only a handful of must-haves last year and their liveshows never fail to get the old sap rising. Get in quick - this one's gonna be a sell out...
