Siegfrieds realisation of his lineage and his stumblings
towards an understanding of his momentous destiny. The literal
awakenings of both the sleeping dragon jealously hoarding
the ring and its riches and of the now mortal Brünnhilde.
And the awakening of passionate love as Siegfried pledges his
fidelity to her with the fateful ring.
