As of 2006, we're ten years old.
 And in internet years, ten makes us the oldest guy on the block. No London site has been going this long - it's as simple as that.
I regularly check our Ahoy! subscriber list, and what makes me so happy is that so many of you have been here for the duration.
We've experienced good times and bad times together. As for the good times, I'd say reaching a hundred thousand readers a week counts top; as for the bad, September 11, 2001 (NYC) , and July 7 2005 (Lon), were the sorrowful lows. We lost friends and readers - some of you lost family. But the rest of you stayed with us through thick and thin, and that's what's make us a real community.
The big news is that 2006 will be our finest hour.
Your support means we'll be investing time and money in bringing you a bewildering amount of new stuff this year. And the emphasis will be on FREE. Fed up of paying for web features such as dating, jobs and classifieds? My promise is that these things and more will be free, here on LondonNet, for the foreseeable future. No more silly subscriptions on rival sites. LondonNet has always aspired to be free at the point of use (just like the glorious NHS). That's the beauty of the internet - and we'll deliver it whenever and wherever we can.
The good folks here at LondonNet never stop innovating, and the future is beyond bright - it's white hot. Here's my guarantee to you, my gorgeous readers: We love and adore London and we'll keep on telling you why.
